Hi Kim,
I'm not sure if you had any luck yet but would highly recommend It's a website that connects you to local folks who have adoptable pets. We've had a great experience getting our kitties this way many moons ago. :^) Good luck and have fun!

Subject: got kittens?

Nicholas is pining for a kitten for Christmas and we are inclined to grant him his wish.  They are not as available this time of year, as we are nine months past mating season, however, occasionally kittens are born late summer/early fall, which is what we're looking for.
If you have or know of anyone looking for a good home for a young cat, do let me know - I would love to connect with them.
Happy Thanksgiving!
