Town Services Update
January 8, 2021
Non-Essential Services Closed for In-person Business Effective Monday, January 11th
The Town’s public health team continues to closely monitor state and local public health trends and to provide guidance regarding changes in town service delivery models aimed at protecting the health and safety of residents and town staff.
In response to the recent surge in COVID – 19 cases throughout the Commonwealth and here in Lincoln, effective Monday, January 11th the Town’s non-essential departments (i.e., land use and permitting, finances, town clerk, town administration, and
council on aging) will be physically closed until further notice and unavailable to the public for in-person support. The staff responsible for these services and programs will remain fully available to support and assist remotely. Residents are urged to
make full use of on-line support services and to contact town staff via e-mail and phone. Zoom conferencing will be made available as needed. Limited in-person support will be made available under extenuating circumstances. Contact information for all departments
and staff is available on the town’s website at
www.lincolntown.org. This change will effectively take us back to the service delivery model that was in place at the outset of the pandemic. We learned through our experience in March that we can depend on the dedication and ingenuity of our staff and
volunteers to ensure that the needs of our residents continue to be met, regardless of whether they are responding in-person or remotely. Our leadership boards have continued to meet uninterrupted throughout the pandemic, making full use of remote meeting
technology. Monday’s restrictions will not impact the remote meeting schedules of our boards.
We are grateful for the patience and support we have received from the community throughout the pandemic. Your cooperation has been a great asset to our community effort.
