The food pantry in Lincoln (at St. Joseph's church) is now serving
the most Lincoln families it has ever served -
22
Families (households) and 43 clients. The clients include 3
handicapped, 9 seniors and 15 kids age 18 and under.
From one of the coordinators, "We give out a tremendous
amount of food each month. During the growing season we also
get fresh veggies from First Parish and from Land's Sake
Farm in Weston, and many "day old" bakery products from
Donelan's."
Coming soon, Donelan's has agreed to have a box at the store
for folks to put donations in - so you can purchase an extra
can or two of soup or some pasta and drop it in as you
leave. The First Parish in Lincoln has agreed to collect,
sort and deliver the items to the pantry. You can leave
donations at the church between the hours of 9am-6pm - pull
into the Ryan Estates driveway, park immediately on the
right, go up the walkway to the side door - the basket is
there. They need non-perishable food items as well as
personal care items - soaps, deodorants, toilet paper,
diapers (for children and adults), etc.
If you are in need of assistance, please stop by their open
hours on the last Wednesday of every month.
