[LincolnTalk] Lincoln Boy Scouts help the Lost Boys of Sudan

Claire Stinson

On a recent Saturday night in September, the Lincoln Boy Scouts helped the "Lost Boys of Sudan" charitable foundation construct dozens of bird houses to help fund the ongoing operations of the charity.

Bemis hall was buzzing with energy as Scouts and members of the Sudanese community hammered, screwed and connected wren and bluebird houses along with bird feeders.  Working side by side, it was a bonding and productive experience for all.

Currently the Boy Scouts are accepting new members in grades 6-10.   The troop meets Thursday nights from 7:00 to 8:30.  For additional information, contact Mark Soukup, Troop Leader, at  [hidden email]

Thank you,  William Stinson
